When I was a young girl my parents and their friends would always buy me dolls as gifts - I hated dolls, because I thought they depicted women the wrong way. Dolls still creep me out today and my mom for some reason has to put them on display in the house, as shown in the drawing.
The doll I'm holding was given to me when I was about eight-years-old specifically because my parents thought it looked like me...hmm...
I love the realism and detail in this drawing. Absolutely superb.

mmm. I love how rough the shading is, the lines are something I like. Makes for texture, and texture beats smooth, bland.. stuff lol
The pose is good, the grip on the doll and the look give it a very dark, cynical sort of twist that keeps the viewer's attention. Everything... is... COOL XD
&Is your hair really that poofy?
^_^ thanx!
I have naturally crazy curly curly hair (like Stuff Sucks' creator Liz Greenfield curly...if that makes sense...) - if I brush it out it goes wavy, so yeah it's poofy!! I just straighten it often for an alternate look.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
